Full Time (37 hours a week) (LC2 24-28) (£28,672 – £32,234) (Dependant on experience & pay award pending)

Applications are invited for the position of Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer to Stow on the Wold Town Council.

The Council is looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and forward thinking person to take responsibility for all aspects of its administration, financial affairs and all statutory duties of the Council.

The successful candidate will be pro-active, extremely well organised, with excellent office, management and communication skills, both written and oral and be proficient in the use of ICT including Microsoft Word and Excel.

A basic understanding or previous experience of Local Government is preferred, but candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate the relevant skills will be considered. The successful candidate must be prepared to start to study for the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) within 12 months of taking up the post if not already qualified.

You will work at the Council offices but there is possible scope for partial working from home and you will also be required to attend some evening meetings too.

The Council would consider splitting the two jobs into Clerk of the Council and the other role of Responsible Financial Officer for the right candidates.
